Exclusive this year, Africa Virtual Accelerator leads the cohort through a one-month virtual training program to facilitate their preparation for the investor pitch event on 5th November 2020.
Hafi Barry who is country lead for this year’s AFA said “the sessions would run weekly with three segments theory, practical and assignments delivered by outstanding mentors and partners who have expertise and experience in the areas to be covered”. From storytelling to marketing, finance, legal, IP, management and engaging investors; the entrepreneurs would sharpen their skills and be investor ready. The focus of this year’s event is: “The bold new normal in the new normal” with a caveat of doing deals in a virtual environment.

Adei Institute of Technology supported the virtual accelerator which prepares the entrepreneurs before the investors pitch event, and delivered the first week’s workshop and along with a group of mentors to offer 1–1 sessions to the entrepreneurs.
One HealthTech startup that completed the Adei Educate — Launch. Boost. Grow. program was selected to pitch to investors amongst 10 startups selected across the continent. The startup, MaiSoin, states that their objective is to facilitate quality healthcare at home. Read more about MaiSoin here.
